Watch: Moment bemused wedding dress expert is told his client is set to marry a ghost

Bride-to-be Brocarde had just two opinions she cared about while wedding dress shopping: hers and her groom’s.
What was a little unusual, however, is that she’s the only one who can communicate with the groom – because he is a ghost.
In an episode of Say Yes To The Dress With Tan France – which you can stream for free on 9Now – fashion expert Tan France is faced with the unique challenge of finding Brocarde a dress both she and Victorian soldier Edwardo love.

Brocarde shared a few stipulations with Tan as he and his team prepared to help, saying she needed a conservative dress to “make sure [the groom] turns up”.
“If you’re wearing no something conservative, he won’t turn up?” bridal expert Laura asked.
“No, I don’t think so. He doesn’t approve of me dressing in that manner,” Brocarde replied.
She then explained that on the night they first met, she felt a burning sensation that ran through her entire body: “That’s how he introduced himself,” she said.

Tan asked Brocarde how her unconventional relationship impacted her other relationships.
“I think it’s just the equivalent to having a partner that everybody hates,” she explained.
However, she said their “secret romance” added to the excitement of the relationship.

Tan set about finding Brocarde the perfect dress, but struck out with his first two choices.
“Yes Brocarde said she wants to be modest on her wedding day but I’ve got a feeling she’s being modest about what she actually wants,” Tan said.
“Her wedding may not be traditional, I get it, but I want her to at least have that moment in the dress that makes her feel like a bride.”
